In anticipation of the upcoming Jewish New Year (September 8 - September 10 2010), "Chabad in Medford" has announced that it will be hosting High Holiday Services.
Join us for an inspiring and meaningful High Holiday service, in a place where everyone feels at home and welcome.
Our services will be refreshingly casual and easy to follow, says Rabbi Yitzchok Kahan, Director of Chabad in Medford. The English-Hebrew prayerbook, along with song and commentary, will make everyone an active participant. The kids will enjoy special interactive programs, just for them.
"According to Tradition, at the Jewish New Year, the Doors of Heaven are open; G-d accepts all prayers, from anyone," explains the Rabbi. "The least we can do is open our doors as well, to the entire community." Unlike many congregations, membership is not required to join. All are welcome, free of charge, regardless of background or affiliation.
Services will be held on Rosh Hashana - the Jewish New Year (September 8 - September 10), as well as Yom Kippur - the Day of Atonement (September 17 - 18)
Our services will be led by Rabbi Yitzchok Kahan, accompanied by Cantor Chaim Freundlach.
All Services will take place at the
Medford Memorial Community Center
21 South Main St.
