Shofar in the ParkWhen: Monday, September 23 • 6:00 PM Tuesday, September 24 • 6:00 PM
Where:
Join us as we blow the Shofar, a simple hollowed-out ram’s horn, in celebration of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year—also known as the birthday of humanity. For thousands of years, Jews around the world have blown the Shofar in times of both joy and challenge. The combination of short, medium, and long blasts, along with the horn’s unique vibrations, is believed to have personal, global, and even cosmic impact. Shofar in the Park offers a special opportunity to participate in this sacred mitzvah, especially for those unable to attend traditional services. Come celebrate with us, enjoy some apples and honey, and experience the ancient sounds of the Shofar. |
